Automotive SPICE® Guidelines Yellow Volume 3rd Revised Edition has been officially released to the global automotive industry. From now until May 12, 2026, the standard enters the public feedback phase. Industry experts and practitioners can download the complete document for free from the official website and submit comments and suggestions to the working group.

Major improvements are made regarding addition of new domains like Hardware Development and Machine Learning. The rating guidelines are provided for all processes in the process assessment model and a new recommended scope for assessments has been determined. The current publication will replace the existing Blue-Gold Print Automotive SPICE® Guidelines version 2.

The improvement of the Standards depends on the collective wisdom of the industry. We sincerely invite all relevant practitioners to actively participate in the feedback process.
